Virat Kohli will return to home from Australia for the birth of his first child :
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Monday confirmed that Indian captain Virat Kohli has been granted paternity leave.
After the first Test, he will return to Team India’s upcoming tour of Australia. The BCCI confirmed in an official press release that Kohli had informed the board of his plans to return home for the birth of his first child.
“At the selection committee meeting held on October 26th, 2020, Mr Virat Kohli had informed the BCCI about his plans to return to India after the first Test in Adelaide. The BCCI has granted paternity leave to the Indian captain. He will return after the first Test against Australia in Adelaide,” BCCI…..
Rohit Sharma will fly along with team India for Australia tour :
Rohit Sharma was included in the India Test squad for the tour of Australia, but after consultation with the openers,
the decision to rest him from the Australian ODI and T20 series was taken by the senior selection committee and the BCCI’s medical team.
After being dropped from the Indian squad for the tour of Australia, Rohit played his last match in the series against Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capital in IPL 2020 Qualifier 1.
The BCCI on Monday announced that its medical team is monitoring Rohit’s condition and has decided to rest him from limited overs to regain his fitness for the Test series starting December 17.
“The BCCI Medical Team has been monitoring Rohit Sharma’s fitness and has briefed All-India Senior Selection Committee on the same. In consultation with Mr Sharma, it has been decided to rest him for the ODIs and T20Is in Australia to regain full fitness and he has been included in India’s Test squad for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy,” said BCCI in a release.

Varun Chakravarthy : The spinner has been ruled out of the T20 series due to a shoulder injury. The selection committee has named T Natarajan as its replacement.
Ishant Sharma : The senior Indian fast bowler is undergoing rehabilitation at the National Cricket Academy in Bangalore. Once he fully recovers and gets adequate match fitness, he will be included in India’s Test squad.
Sanju Samson : The selection committee has added Sanju Samson as an additional wicketkeeper in India’s ODI squad.
Wriddhiman Saha : The senior Indian wicketkeeper injured both his hamstrings in the IPL match in November. A call about its availability will be taken later.
Kamlesh Nagarkoti : The young pacer will not be able to travel to Australia as he is still working with the medical team on workload management at Australia’s bowling.
